Women's Ministries

The women of CPC are very active in the life of the congregation. They host several anual events such as Christmas Party. The women are paired together and support each other during the year as Church Sisters with surprises. They also offer support to the Durham community and offer financial and spiritual support to those in need on a regular basis. There are several ministries that the women's group is responsible for:

Presbyterian Women meets the third Sunday of every other month, after service. PW is a world-wide organization whose membership is open to all women of the Church.  The purpose of Presbyterian Women is to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study, to support the mission of the Church worldwide, to work for justice and peace, and to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA).

Comfort Zone is a group that comprises of CPC women. This group gathers to provide mutual support and encourage.

A Circle is where faith is nurtured and growth take place through worship, study, friendship and outreach; where women are challenged to stretch beyond their limits; where women move beyond the safe places of life and reach out to others; where Christian leadership is born, nurtured and sent forth into ministry. This group meets the third Friday of every month at noon.
